Inside Sales Person – Technical Services

Our client is a well-established company providing advanced technical services to customers across a broad range of industries. A thriving organisation with real growth potential, they are now seeking to expand their team with a key Sales Professional who can exploit the opportunities and assist them in continued strong growth.

  

Reporting to the Managing Director, the person will have a proven track record in technical sales, be capable of lead generation through aggressive prospecting, develop accounts, generate sales quote and tenders, and handle customer enquiries. In addition, s/he will be required to develop a good technical knowledge of the service range. The position will be based in our clients facilities in Dublin, Ireland.

  

Key responsibilities include:

  

  • Organise, manage, and work through a defined sales process to maximise growth in sales revenue and profit
  • Maintain current business in existing accounts while successfully identifying new business opportunities within these accounts
  • Identify and build on new business opportunities 
  • Ensure weekly sales calls activity is at a level that maximises sales productivity and business opportunity
  • Manage time effectively to schedule sales calls and prioritise the business opportunities
  • Establish a sustainable pipeline to ensure targets are met and exceeded on a continuous basis
  • Use and manage the CRM system to monitor activity and generate reports, creating monthly forecasts to measure, track, and plan business generation
  • Generate and submit sales quotes and tenders as requested
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
  • Assist in the formulation of sales plans and strategies

  

The ideal candidate must have:

  

  • Excellent communication skills, including written and presentation
  • The confidence and ability required for outbound lead generation and sales
  • An ability to bring to a close business opportunities with new and existing customers 
  • 2-3 years of B2B sales experience at least some of which must be in technical sales
  • A desire to succeed and a can-do, will-do attitude to achieving sales targets
  • An ability to work on own initiative and without direction
  • A strong business focus and an interest in being part of the company’s success story
  • An understanding and appreciation of the sales process
  • A flexible approach
  • Legal permission to work in Ireland

  

Desirable:

  

  • A keen interest and appreciation of electronics / electronic engineering technology
  • A 3rd Level business qualification
